For this installation, MFX designed and built a truly unique tree sculpture consisting of 30 custom-made branches and roots. The structure was brought to life by more than 650 meters of pixel-controlled LED strip and 180 pixel spheres, seamlessly integrated into the design.
Visitors played an active role in the experience. Through three interactive sensors, they could influence the tree’s behaviour: one sensor controlled the speed, another the intensity, and the third the colour. Each input was individually mapped onto the 1,500 pixels that formed the tree’s glowing body.
When three individuals came together and interacted simultaneously, the installation revealed its full potential: the tree lit up even brighter, transforming into a living symphony of light, colour, and unity.
This project demonstrates how technology and design can merge into an immersive experience, where people are not just spectators, but co-creators of the artwork.
